They are part of Origin Coffee Lab program which aims to enhance and support the lives of farmers and development of their lands through training and education. The Marshell variety is a new Bourbon-type variety, but whether it is an intentional hybrid that started growing wild or a natural mutation is so far unclear. Regardless of its origins, Marshell has produced some very exciting results for coffee growers because of its heartiness and productivity combined with a complex and elegant cup profile.
